Reclaiming the right of way becomes a powerful tool to transform Kumasi's former railway corridor into a performative infrastructure. The strategic introduction of economic, ecological and cultural improvements and opportunities will reinforce this corridor as a green multipurpose lung within the congested city of Kumasi.
This project was awarded the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize and was published in Recultivating the Garden City of Kumasi. Columbia University, Millennium Cities Initiative, The Earth Institute & Urban Design Lab. 2012
